Write your first brief
The shortest path from a blank study to a plan you can edit.

From Home or Interviews, choose New interview. You land on the Brief step.
The fields
What do you want to learn? is the brief itself. Write it the way you would brief a researcher. Interview name is what you see in the app. Display name is optional and is what participants see under your logo. Who is being interviewed and Anything the interviewer should know? are optional and shape tone and context.
Target length is Short (about 4 minutes), Standard (about 7) or Deep (12 or more). Interview mode is Text or Voice. In a voice study, participants can switch to typing at any time.
Build the plan
Press Build the interview plan. It usually takes a few seconds to half a minute. You land on the Plan step, where every topic is editable. Nothing is fixed until you launch.
