Getting started

Launch and share an interview

When a study goes live, what the link does, and how people find it.

The builder has four steps: Brief, Plan, Attributes, Launch. You can move between them until you launch. Launch needs a brief and at least one topic.

Launching sets the study live and publishes one link: insightful.chat/{workspace}/{study}. The slug is chosen when you create the study and does not change, so a printed QR code stays valid. Copy the link or download the QR as a PNG.

Who can open it

Anyone with the link can start. They do not need an account. A draft is not public: opening it without ?preview=1, and without being a member of the workspace, shows a not-found page.

On Launch you can turn Anonymous responses on or off for this study. When it is on, participants appear as P01, P02 and so on.

On Launch, Target responses is how many completed interviews you are aiming for: it drives Home progress and the credit estimate, and it is not a hard limit.
