Reading the Overview tab
The numbers and the summary on a live study.
Updated September 2026 · 3 min read
Open a study and the Overview tab is the first thing you see. It updates as conversations complete.
The numbers
Three figures sit at the top: completed interviews (and how many were started), completion rate (and how many left partway), and average length (with the median when there is one). Link opens are counted separately and stand in for invitations.
The summary and findings
Below that is a research summary and top findings. Findings can open the transcript at the turn they came from. While a study is live and responses are arriving, recent completions are listed above the summary.
Analysis runs after conversations finish. A conversation that is still in progress will not have a summary yet.
Flagged conversations
A finished conversation is marked Good, Thin or Conflicting. Thin means the answers were short or evasive. Conflicting means the participant contradicted themselves. Both are still readable, and both are still charged.
Exclude flagged conversations sits beside the numbers. Turning it on drops those conversations from the completed count, the completion rate, the average length, the Insights themes and quotes, and the Conversations list. It does not recompute the research summary. Run Analyse again if you want the write-up to weigh the flags, which it does on the next run.
